Fresh off the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ press tour, we now find ourselves under another spell with the highly anticipated ‘Agatha All Along’. The premiere, held at El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, brought out a bewitching appearance from Kathryn Hahn that perfectly captured the dark, magical essence of the series.
Kathryn wore a striking look from Rodarte’s Fall 2023 collection known for its gothic fairy inspirations and its unique ability to find beauty in the shadows.
This collection couldn’t have been more fitting for a series like ‘Agatha All Along’.
Kathryn’s choice—a black embroidered dress with shimmering tinsel trim—might initially make some think of the upcoming Halloween or Christmas season, but it works beautifully in this context.
Personally, I’m all for the drama of this look. Kathryn amplified the mood with a bold, dark lipstick, making the ensemble feel even more powerful and thematic. It’s dramatic, it’s haunting, and it feels entirely in line with her character’s mystique.
What many will appreciate is the choice to line the top half of the dress. This subtle alteration kept the focus on the semi-sheer skirt, allowing the intricate embroidery to take center stage without overwhelming the look. The sheer effect added just the right touch of ethereal elegance while maintaining a sense of mystery.
