Ayo Edebiri & Greta Lee debut Loewe Spring 2025 at the BoF 500 Class Of 2024

The Business of Fashion BoF 500 Class of 2024 event during Paris Fashion Week brought together some of the most notable figures in fashion at the iconic Shangri-La Hotel Paris on Saturday.

With celebrities like Ayo Edebiri and Greta Lee choosing looks from Jonathan Anderson’s Loewe Spring 2025 collection, which debuted just days prior, the event turned into a fascinating showcase of new, daring styles. Anderson’s Loewe collection, one of my favourites of the Spring 2025 season alongside Saint Laurent and Schiaparelli, effortlessly found its place on the red carpet.

First To The Spring 2025 Florals

Ayo Edebiri wore a nineteenth-century-inspired floral cage gown from Loewe’s latest collection. With its full-wired skirt, the gown’s structure creates a striking, trapeze-like silhouette—one of the most talked-about designs of the collection. Some might argue that bringing this bold silhouette to the red carpet so soon could detract from its allure. However, Loewe seems to be capitalizing on the buzz, and we have several variations that will keep the interest alive in the coming months.

As much as I adore this gown’s unconventional structure, I feel Ayo didn’t quite sell it. To be fair, this is a look that demands movement, and the static nature of red carpet posing may have dampened its intended impact. I’m hopeful for a future red carpet moment that brings out the full magic of this design.

Feathered Fantasy

Greta Lee brought her signature effortless cool to a Loewe ensemble featuring a polo crop top and feather skirt. At first glance, these elements may seem mismatched—sporty on top, glamour on the bottom—but leave it to Jonathan Anderson to convince us otherwise. Some might find the inclusion of the tie perplexing, but I think it provides an unexpected twist that helps the crop top hold its own against the dramatic feathers. Greta’s inherent charm truly tied the whole look together. Pun intended.
