Nicolas Ghesquière’s Louis Vuitton Spring 2025 collection, presented at the iconic Cour Carrée du Louvre during Paris Fashion Week, was met with a jam-packed front row of A-list celebrities. As always, the celebrities came dressed to impress—some more successfully than others. Here’s a look at the notable attendees.
An ’80s Moment or Miss?
We must start with Zendaya. I have to say, I like this Louis Vuitton Resort 2025 look in parts. The top, Alexis Colby meets Cruella de Vil, was fabulous—drama, power, and glamour all rolled into one. But the bubble skirt? It dragged down what could have been an amazing ‘80s-inspired high-fashion moment. Less would have definitely been more here.
Overwhelmed
Noémie Merlant attempted a similar silhouette from the Louis Vuitton Resort 2025 collection as a dress. Unfortunately, it overwhelmed her frame, and the styling just wasn’t right, losing the essence of what could have been a striking ensemble.
Another PB
The way I beamed with joy upon seeing Da’Vine Joy Randolph on this red carpet. It’s truly her year. I’m glad that the blonde hair has been parked for now, in favour of this rich autumnal brown hue which complements her complexion beautifully, and the dress? Stunning. Louis Vuitton finally delivered a look worthy of an Oscar winner, unlike the disappointing prom moment from Oscar night. The off-the-shoulder detail, nipped waist, and flared skirt were endlessly flattering. I am manifesting more of this kind of red carpet magic for Da’Vine.
Leather and Tassels, oh my
Cate Blanchett continues her love affair with leather trousers. The tassels on her Louis Vuitton Resort 2025 top may be a minor annoyance, but overall, this edgy second look from the Australian actress is a refreshing change.
Playing It Safe
Ana de Armas chose a sheer Louis Vuitton dress, which, despite its transparency, still felt a little safe. I’m hoping to see her embrace a bit more risk with her fashion choices.
Effortless Biker Chic
Lisa proved once again that there’s really nothing she can’t pull off, channeling a biker-inspired Louis Vuitton look with a brown leather coat that I now need ASAP. Effortless and bold, as always.
A Nod to ‘My Fair Lady’?
I can’t say I love this Louis Vuitton My Fair Lady-inspired look on Cynthia Erivo. The style doesn’t quite click for me, but I’m sure many are just happy it isn’t green—a colour she has worn extensively this year.
Balancing Boyish and Sweet
Hoyeon rocked a Louis Vuitton look that struck a balance between boyish and sweet, with a lace top paired with voluminous trousers. It’s an interesting juxtaposition that worked well on her.
Louis Vuitton’s Consistent Muse
You could copy and paste anything I’ve ever said about Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton—she’s just that good. Jennifer could sell Louis Vuitton bin liners at this point, and I’d still buy them. That’s the power of her je ne sais quoi.
A Miss
Usually, I’m a big fan of Sandra Hüller in Louis Vuitton, but this look was a miss for me. The jacket felt overwhelming, the waxy trousers underwhelming, and the bag was entirely out of place.
A Rare Sheer Moment
Alicia Vikander also carried the same Louis Vuitton bag, but unlike Sandra, it worked with her rare sheer ensemble. The skirt, inspired by the Resort 2025 collection, added a fresh dimension to Alicia’s look, who typically doesn’t opt for full runway moments.
Cohesion Without Matching
The Haim sisters—Este, Danielle, and Alana—are consistently strong in Louis Vuitton. Despite not wearing matching outfits, they presented a cohesive vibe. Este’s bubble skirt may not be everyone’s favourite, but their overall style worked for me.
An Edgy Transformation
I almost didn’t recognize Liu Yifei in this edgy Louis Vuitton look. It’s a sharp departure from her usual gala gowns, and she absolutely nailed it.
A Style Dip
Jurnee Smollett’s drop off needs to be studied—this Louis Vuitton Resort 2025 look was just wrong for her. The grey colour washed her out, and the bubble dress was incredibly unflattering. It didn’t work on any level.
Ready for Backgammon
Chloe Grace Moretz’s Louis Vuitton jacket, adorned with narrow triangles, gave me strong Backgammon vibes. It’s quirky and unique, and perfect for her style personality.
Almost Perfect
I was ready to applaud Jasmine Jobson’s Louis Vuitton oversized coat and tilted hat combo—it was giving drama, with a nonchalant attitude. But then I saw the ‘80s iridescent boots. Unfortunately, they felt completely out of sync with the rest of the look, disrupting what could have been a perfect high-fashion moment. Sometimes, a bold shoe choice can elevate a look; in this case, it only detracts from it.
