With newly opened doors in Southern California, it’s time for a makeover, French-style

LOUIS VUITTON stampeded into fall with a roundup-ready collection designed by Pharrell Williams, the house’s menswear creative director, that takes inspiration from cowboys and western workwear. But it’s only the start of the house’s embrace of the region. The Costa Mesa women’s boutique also recently opened after an extensive revision and a new Glendale boutique just launched at The Americana at Brand.
Underneath a ceiling shaped as an undulating wave in Costa Mesa, an immersive video wall depicts Louis Vuitton women’s shows worldwide, whereas the newly redesigned South Coast Plaza boutique also includes an expanded selection of its Nicolas Ghesquière–designed ready-to-wear. Watches and jewelry are here, in addition to leather goods, accessories, and fragrances. The house’s new Neverfull Inside Out handbag is also on hand, reinterpreted in fully reversible designs with boldly hued linings that are as durable as the outside. Another standout is the new Le Damier de Louis Vuitton jewelry collection of unisex second-skin designs in yellow or white gold shaped with the house’s chessboard geometrics in mind. These appear alongside travel-inspired Objets Nomades furniture and house mainstays: hard sided trunks. Aboriginal artist Liddy Walker Napanangka’s painting Wakirlpirri Jukurrpa (Dogwood Tree Dreaming) is an homage to women creatives, and the boutique’s bespoke offerings include Paris-trained artisans who hand-paint, hot stamp, or engrave luggage, leather, and fragrance bottles, and also repair, renew, and preserve heirlooms.
The house’s new Glendale boutique includes all these personalization services as well as all the metiers, from Williams’ men’s looks and accessories to Ghesquière’s women’s ready-to-wear.
