Jodie Turner-Smith joined Juno Temple on Friday evening at the amfAR Las Vegas event, held at Wynn Las Vegas, showcasing her undeniable presence in a Roberto Cavalli by Fausto Puglisi design.
Her Fall 2024 purple marble print dress, featuring an open back, sleeveless silhouette, and a trumpet hem slip design edged with black lace, is an exquisite choice. The print alone is a showstopper, with its rich hues and fluid patterns, perfectly complementing Jodie’s statuesque frame.
However, I couldn’t help but be slightly distracted by the makeup. Typically, Jodie’s beauty choices are an extension of her fashion statements, with bold eye makeup hues often mirroring her dress. Last week’s Burberry blue moment, paired with coordinating blue eyeshadow, was a testament to her ability to marry her beauty and fashion seamlessly.
This time, she opted for an apricot tone that felt muted against the vibrancy of her dress. The colour is lovely. Some might feel that it lacked the punch we’ve come to associate with Jodie’s beauty looks, or some, like me, appreciate the softer beauty look.
Black Christian Louboutin pumps rounded off her look. Though classic, they felt more functional than fabulous for this dress. A strappy sandal or metallic accent might have been more in tune with the gown’s sultry vibe.
