Elle Fanning attended the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film, ‘A Complete Unknown,’ alongside Timothée Chalamet, who plays Bob Dylan in the biographical drama. As his on-screen love interest Sylvie Russo, Elle embraced the opportunity to bring a touch of the ’60s to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Wearing a custom Gucci white silk cady gown, Elle looked as beautiful as ever. The gown itself was classic Gucci, but what truly elevated this look was the unmistakable homage to the ’60s, seen in the bouffant pigtails inspired by icons like Pattie Boyd and Brigitte Bardot. The hairstyle alone transported this look from modern-day minimalism to vintage elegance.
I love how the crystal strass embellishment on the gown’s neckline was echoed in her hair accessories and Cartier jewels. These thoughtful details pulled the entire look together, giving it a cohesive, era-inspired narrative.
It’s not often that we see thematic looks done in such a subtle way. In this case it reads as a modern-day interpretation of ’60s glamour with just the right amount of nostalgia. The balance between the gown’s simplicity and the styling’s deliberate nod to the film’s time period was impeccable.
Elle knows how to commit to a theme without overdoing it, and this red carpet moment is no exception. From the hairstyle to the sparkling accents, this was a graceful and elegant tribute to her role and the film.
