Before the Golden Globe Awards stole the spotlight, Ariana Grande graced the Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch and Creative Impact Awards at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday, and this time, her affinity for vintage fashion truly paid off.
Let’s be honest: her previous ventures into vintage have been hit-or-miss. Mostly misses. Whether it was the fit, the style, or the pale hues washing her out, something often felt off. But this vintage Chanel Fall 1986 Haute Couture dress changed the narrative entirely.
Ariana nailed the Audrey Hepburn-inspired aesthetic she’s been chasing throughout her Wicked press tour with perfection. From the iconic camellia white flower to the string of pearls, this look exuded timeless Chanel elegance. It felt classic, polished, and perfectly suited to her.
The styling was on point as well. A simple updo, tights, and black pumps let the dress speak for itself, further cementing this as her one of her best press tour looks to date.
This is proof that vintage can shine when the details align. More of this, please, Ariana.
