The design could have come from any number of fashion houses, leaving some to question what Burberry’s current style direction actually is.
What used to be a brand synonymous with recognisable designs now feels scattered, and this gown, although beautiful, highlights the ongoing identity crisis within the label. Paired with Jimmy Choo sandals and David Yurman jewels, Iris was stunning—but the Burberry confusion lingers.
Simple with a Twist in Custom Moschino
Sveva Alviti, godmother of the festival, kept things simple at first glance with a custom Moschino gown. From the front, the gown exuded a minimalist elegance, but true to Moschino’s playful spirit, the back featured a Swarovski crystal question mark—a signature motif for the label. The unexpected detail added a hint of quirkiness to an otherwise understated look.
