There were a lot of great menswear looks – thirty six – at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party that caught my eye on Sunday (March 27).

I had to start with Chase Stokes who wore a baby blue Dzojchen suit paired with a wrap shirt.

What I love about this look, aside from how it’s so right for spring and how smooth it is, are the matching Christian Louboutin ‘Dandelion’ satin loafers.

This look could’ve fallen so flat with black shoes, but celebrity stylist Avo Yermagyan always ensures that his clients have the right accessories, which in this case also included a David Yurman necklace.

When it comes to the relaxed tailoring and spring yellow hue of Donald Glover’s King & Tuckfield look, what’s not to love and adore?

He even got the shoes right.

Kid Cudi was one of my favourites of the night wearing this Louis Vuitton brown suit with a jewellery button.

You might be surprised at this, considering one of my bug bears are trousers which appear too long, but the oversize fit is part of the appeal, and it pulls it off masterfully in my opinion.

He once killed a look with his colourful sneakers, this time he opted for a plain white pair from LV

Michael B. Jordan wore a black lurex Tom Ford grain de poudre suit, which I love for the sheen, but I couldn’t get over the bunching of the trousers here, but it could be that he just opted not to wear them over his boots.

Henry Golding can often do a full look, but on this occasion, he opted to make his Tom Ford floral silk jacquard cocktail jacket the hero piece.

He styled his look with David Yurman jewels.

Colman Domingo usually gives us bold colour, but I ain’t mad at this black Armani tuxedo with its sleek embellishments and velvet trims.

Très ever so chic.

Leslie Odom Jr. bringing back his trademark turtleneck, is the only thing I really liked about this BOSS look styled with Manolo Blahnik Mario shoes.

I think I like the colour, but not in this fabric.

Lakeith Stanfield and Saint Laurent continue to be a match made in fashion heaven.

Only Lakeith could pull off this Fall 2022 black faux fur short coat with standing shawl collar on one of the hottest days of the year in LA.

When it comes to Dan Levy, I found myself disappointed with the casual nature of the floral shirt.

This Dior Men Fall 2022 draped suit deserved better.  I would’ve preferred just the white t-shirt he’s wearing below it.

Dior Men B23 sneakers completed his look.

I fully appreciate Timotheé Chalamet rocking this Alexander McQueen spliced biker jacket and jeans in stonewash denim and leather, but there were many more looks on this red carpet that I loved more.

As great as this is, it didn’t really stand out for me.

Christian Louboutin ‘Yetito’ leather lug sole boots completed his look.

Simu Liu opted to remove his white shirt and bow tie which he wore to the main event, and just rock his red Atelier Versace suit to the after party.

Better, or worse?

Bold suits with bolder shoulders are very much Alton Mason’s red carpet M.O.

And he nailed the look again wearing an Annakiki Fall 2022 silver suit, styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Stage’ platform boot with strass embellishment.

After going for baby blue for the main event, Kodi Smit-McPhee opted for all black Bottega Veneta for the party, styling his look with Smiling Rocks rings.

Hopefully today is the day that ya’ll start appreciating Chris Pine’s new style.

I don’t know if it’s the new beard, a new stylist, or him now showcasing his true style, but I’m living for this Etro Fall 2022 coral velvet and red pussy bow shirt moment.

Speaking of new style Sterling K. Brown must have heard my pleas for something other than black, navy and grey, as he rocked up to the party wearing this Dolce & Gabbana cyan blue tuxedo with contrasting peak lapels styled with David Yurman jewels.

So very refreshing.

Lucien Laviscount would’ve had all the ladies swooning wearing this classic Emporio Armani suit styled with David Yurman jewels.

I love how Jeff Goldblum is never afraid of a bold colour or prints.

On this occasion he mixed a Saint Laurent snakeskin print jacket with a cheetah-print shirt and gold tie.

I shouldn’t like it, but I do.  He’s just so god damn cool.  And it’s clear he loves fashion.

Billy Porter can tend to go a little over-the-top, so I admire his restraint to not make this event all about him, by wearing this Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2022 Haute Couture black velvet catsuit paired with a cape.

Drama doesn’t always have to be so loud.

I was not a fan of Joe Jonas’ Louis Vuitton suit. He doesn’t have the presence to pull this off.

Plus I didn’t like how tight his custom Tiffany Victoria® diamond vine necklace was.

Cole Sprouse rocked this Paul Smith blue suit featuring a striking shadow floral blazer and shirt from the Fall 2022 collection, which he styled with Christian Louboutin ‘William’ boots.

Jay Ellis stood out wearing this beautiful Dolce & Gabbana white printed jacquard jacket which he styled with David Yurman jewels.

Regé-Jean Page wore a very on brand, looking cool, sharp, elegant in Armani.

I don’t think you need me to tell you that Dominic Fike was wearing Saint Laurent.  This look is so indicative of Anthony Vaccarello’s menswear, and womenswear.

Sebastián Yatra continued to showcase his flair for fashion wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Venice Alta Sartoria fully encrusted crystal suit.

Adam Scott stood out in this bold blue velvet Etro suit. Which was only more vibrant alongside his wife Naomi Scott, who looked beautiful in her red flocked dress.

Patrick Schwarzenegger wore an Armani white cotton and silk blend double-breasted, three-piece tuxedo trimmed in satin, which he styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Dandelion’ white crepe satin loafers.

Am I the only one hypnotised by the ink-blue hue of Chace Crawford’s Paul Smith suit?

Edgar Ramirez wore a Giorgio Armani black double-breasted shawl collar tuxedo which only highlights the excellence of Armani’s tailoring.

Angus Cloud rocked a Dolce & Gabbana black jacquard tuxedo.

Finn Wittrock always keeps things classic.  This time he suited up in Saint Laurent styled with Christian Louboutin Cousin Greg Flat patent leather shoes.

James Marsden looked smart in his Fendi suit, although I’m not sure about the ‘Hello, I’m Wearing Fendi’ patch.

Jimmy Choo ‘Stefan’ shoes completed his look.

Jabari Banks was not to be missed in this burgundy Dolce & Gabbana metallic suit.

Kelvin Harrison Jr. wore a Prada burgundy Re-Nylon jumpsuit with a black turtleneck.

All I keep thinking is how creased this would’ve been by the end of the night.

I was very intrigued by the cut and length of Keith Powers’ Versace Fall 2021 trousers and jacket.

You don’t see this style everyday.

In Brioni, Aldis Hodge reminds us that a statement blazer can perfect any look.

Troye Sivan wasn’t at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, but I couldn’t leave out his beautiful Valentino Spring 2022 Haute Couture look which featured a vest made entirely of silver triangular beads and rings paired with ivory silk faille trousers.
