Picture this: you are relaxing with friends at an old country house on a Mediterranean island, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature, before you head off for a night out. That’s exactly the feeling that the new Jil Sander+ Spring/Summer campaign is trying to encapsulate.
Shot in Ibiza by British photographer Nikki McClarron, the new campaign blends feelings of awareness, balance, and intimacy. Inspired by the inherent fluidity and versatility of the SS 22 collection, the campaign is both elegant and casual, merging island life with high fashion.
Clothes with pops of color, like flowy dresses cotton overshirts, mesh with the colorful Mediterranean backdrop. “Everything is textured and nuanced,” the brand said in a statement. “A subtle, personal story made of single images and characters, inspired by the land and sea.”
The collection, designed by the creative husband and wife duo who helm Jil Sander, Luke and Lucie Meier, is full of functional, high-performance pieces designed for a life in nature, that can be worn from season to season. Overall, the pieces are less bold than some of the traditional looks from the main Jil Sander collections.
