After what I’ve considered to be an uncharacteristically rocky fashion season for Kirsten Dunst, you can bet that I was completely elated to see the actress finally tap more into her inimitable chicness at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday (March 27) in Hollywood, California.

Nominated for her work in ‘The Power of the Dog,’ Kirsten sported a vintage Christian Lacroix Fall 2002 Haute Couture gown to the ceremony — where her husband, actor Jesse Plemons, was also nominated.

It’s no secret that the actress gravitates towards more nostalgic (often archaic) red carpet styles. And while some of her vintage statement pieces have been questionable — and frankly disappointing — this season, this dress might just make up for it.

Between the tiered ruffles, effortless silhouette and glitzy (yet still understated) jewels, Kirsten looks simply breathtaking.

In her final fashion showcase of the season, the actress went out on top (thank God!) — and still simultaneously managed to remind us that she’s one of the most elegant women in Hollywood.
