Yahya Abdul-Mateen joined his co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza González on the red carpets in London and Berlin, where he gave us three looks for the premieres and photocalls curated by his stylist Jan-Michael Quammie.

The only place to start was the Berlin premiere, where he looked Samuel Jackson cool (the highest level of cool one is able to register) wearing a look which mixed Alexander McQueen with Fendi.

I love how his white tailored coat and trousers, which hail from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2022 collection, captures the labels sublime tailoring.

Yes. I was moaning that Yahya’s style feels like it’s still locked into ‘Matrix Resurrection,’ but how can I not love this coat?

Especially considering how unique this look is when fitted with zips to form a double vent which enhance the silhouette.

A Fendi black and white wool turtleneck knit was paired with the suit, but what about the shoes?

It’s well documented that I’m not the biggest fan of black shoes with a white suit, but I’m living for this combination and Yahya’s energy.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Wore Alexander McQueen For The ‘Ambulance’ Berlin Photocall

For the Berlin photocall Yahya did it again in Alexander McQueen, this time without the zippers, the shades and the metal toe-cap boots.

His Fall 2022 look tells me that the overcoats are here to stay.  And the way I’m swooning at the sleekness of this tonal look, I’m official over my initial reservations.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Wore Bottega Veneta For The ‘Ambulance’ London Premiere

Just as I was getting used to the overcoats with every look, Yahya switched gears wearing a Bottega Veneta jacket and trouser combo.

The only thing I like here is the lilac turtleneck.

The bouclé suit looks like acid wash denim.  I’m just not into it, because it makes the look appear more casual than it actually is.

I wish he had worn this for the Berlin photocall and worn the all black McQueen for this occasion.
