The Y2K emblem gets a sustainable twiist.

Sometimes, the math doesn’t have to make sense. Danish practicality + the suit of L.A. socialites might actually be a match made in heaven. Copenhagen label Ganni and L.A. label Juicy Couture have teamed up to make a new take of the iconic blinged-out two-piece velour tracksuit that has now been made into its own personified entity through the domination of Y2K.

The new tracksuit – where your pickings range from iris blue, tan, and black – includes perfectly placed Juicy and Ganni logo in signature diamanté, and cut just enough for a cute, slightly cropped moment. The exclusive collection includes 13 styles, also featuring ruched halter tops and midi dresses, and logo-doused hats, tees, leggings, and sweatpants. A perfect excuse to mix and match.

“There are few fashion pieces in the world that are as easily recognized as Juicy Couture’s velour tracksuit – it’s truly a piece of pop culture history,” said Ditte Reffstrup, Ganni’s creative direction. And now, pop culture history can flex ethical production too. The two-piece is made from a  mix of certified organic and pre-consumer recycled cotton as well as recycled polyester, making this interaction the most responsible velour suit to date.

Like Hollywood it-girls Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie, you can now foster the off-duty celebrity look too – bedazzled Blackberries and Louis Vuitton silver Alma’s included too.

The collection is available on Ganni’s website, Ganni stores worldwide, and juicycouture.co.uk.
