Katie Holmes knows how to pull off a down-to-earth look. Although she’s an A-lister, the actor is always snapped in wearable, low-key outfits—and her latest one, centered on a cheerful floral dress, is no exception.
On March 31, Holmes attended a Kate Spade event in a simple ensemble: a yellow knee-length floral dress, a cream cardigan with pushed-up sleeves, and a croissant-shaped clutch. She left her hair tousled with little jewelry. The look was just as accessible as it was elevated.

It’s also easy to riff off the items making up Holmes’s look. Your midi doesn’t need to be floral or yellow; you can choose any color or pattern that speaks to you. (In fact, the actor was spotted in another Kate Spade dress that would work just as well as this one.) If cardigans aren’t your vibe, try a denim jacket or a blazer instead. And any trusty bag will do, though we do have a soft spot for pastry-inspired accessories.
