You weren’t fans (surprisingly) Tessa Thompson Schiaparelli Haute Couture look for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, so I’m intrigued to see how this look will fare.
What is not apparent when it comes to this Loewe Spring 2022 look is that both the pieces are sequinned.
The Loewe mini skirt is obvious, but the Loewe tulle sweater would be twinkling softly under the studio lights (this was a TV interview), as this slim-fitting sweater is threaded with tiny sequins for the most subtle of shimmers.
It’s quite a masterclass in texture, seeing strands of frothy tulle create a plush, fuzzy look that embodies Jonathan Anderson’s creative spirit.
As does the skirt.
However, unlike everyone else who has worn a piece from this collection, Tessa opted not to step into the cut-out to showcase the versatility of the piece.
I have always felt that stepping into the cut-out may feel slightly irritating as the sequins would chaff the inner thigh, so my feeling is that she wore the skirt the alternative way, considering this was a seated interview.
