Anne Hathaway has become the style queen of Genovia—wait, no, the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. From her colorful sequin set to a regal white gown, Hathaway has been making headlines this week for her sleek styling while in France.
And on May 20, she stunned yet again in Gucci at a photo call event for her new movie Armageddon Times, which was featured at the festival. Her longtime stylist Erin Walsh confirmed on Instagram that Anne Hathaway is a “Gucci Girl!” in this ‘60s-style minidress.
The dress’s mod-style silhouette was kept from leaning too into costume by the addition of a cone bra a la Madonna’s famous Jean Paul Gaultier look from the early ’90s. The cobalt blue bustier top matches the similar colored shiny accents on the dress that are lifted against the black base.

The 39-year-old actor gave modern glam to this vintage styling by wearing a beehive hairstyle that didn’t overwhelm the complete look. Done by hairstylist and Virtue Labs creative director Adir Abergel, Hathaway proves that every angle is her good side.
Makeup artist Florrie White gave Hathaway a flushed look by amplifying her natural beauty with rosy cheeks and a pink lipstick. To complete the look, Hathaway wore a pair of cat-eye sunglasses and Bulgari jewels. She looks like she stepped out of an episode of Mad Men by way of a Madonna music video.
