Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who supported the site over the past two weeks, whether you were lurking, commenting, or engaging with the polls.

If you’ve been around a long time you’ll acknowledge that the 2022 Cannes Film Festival wasn’t a classic.

I was more impressed with the jury than the ambassadors this year, and it’s usually the ambassadors who take the shine.

I really missed Chris Lee, Araya A. Hargate and I will always miss Fan Bingbing at Cannes.

Kudos to her for starting her own beauty brand, but I really miss her as a L’Oreal ambassador.

Special commendation for Katherine Langford who made her debut at this festival, and Diane Kruger who finally found her groove, Deepika Padukone who was the undoubted queen of Cannes, and Rebecca Hall for coming a close second, she could’ve been first, but her last three outings were a little less inspiring than her opening three.

And when it comes to the poll, Deepika had three – worthy – looks featured.  Some that might make it onto your BDOTY list.

As much as I wanted to give it to her Louis Vuitton dress for being the most unique Louis Vuitton look I’ve seen in some time, like you, I was more blown away by her Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla closing saree.

When it came to the gents, Joe Alwyn in Celine Homme had been the clear winner from the earlier poll during the week.  It was the sleekness and the cummerbund for me.

Now time to catch up with everything I missed while focusing on Cannes.
