Blake Lively, who co-chaired the 2022 Met Gala, shared a look to her Instagram yesterday which she wore to a pre-Met Gala party.
It seems like the actress had some remorse for the dress not getting the spotlight it deserved as she wrote.
“Let’s take it back to the “night before” party. A little hint of things to come🗽 thanks to @thombrowne Yes I took these on a self timer bc everyone was asleep when I got home at 9. Sorry outfit. You deserved better.”
The beautiful dress in question was a Thom Browne Spring 2017 gown.
The part-party gown and part trompe l’oeil pinstripe suit possesses all the signature design flourishes and deconstruction we expect from the American designer.
White Thom Browne brogues and jewels from Brent Neale and Retrouvaí completed her look.
A second picture sees Blake style the look with a Thom Browne Pre-Fall 2022 floral embroidered sleeveless coat, but I prefer the dress on its own.
