Zendaya Wore Givenchy Haute Couture To The 2024 Met Gala

Zendaya Wore Givenchy Haute Couture To The 2024 Met Gala

As co-chair of the 2024 Met Gala, Zendaya basically said, “it’s my gala, and I’ll wear two gowns if I want to.”

The actress had the last word with her dramatic black finale period inspired gown from the Givenchy Spring 1996 Haute Couture by John Galliano collection (from Rita Watnick-LILY et Cie) cementing her status as queen of the archives.

And it wasn’t just an outfit change, as she changed out the hair and makeup as well, which is an undertaking at the best of times, but to do all that within a short space of time is highly commendable, especially when this red carpet was so underwhelming tonight.

Some might say that the playing field is not equal, but I would say that Zendaya understood the assignment.

I love how she played homage to the ‘Garden of Time’ theme with a hand tied bouquet as a headpiece from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2007 collection.
