At Monday night’s Met Gala, Cara Delevingne embraced her skin, psoriasis and all.

The actor and model walked the red carpet at the “Gilded Glamour”-themed Met Gala in New York City on May 2, with her psoriasis on display. For the occasion, Delevingne wore a red suit Dior suit with nothing but gold body paint (and pasties) underneath.

Psoriasis is a common skin condition, affecting nearly 7.5 million Americans, according to the American Academy of Dermatology Association. It is chronic and has no cure, and can come and go in cycles lasting weeks or months. Psoriasis causes red and itchy scaly patches to appear on the skin, most commonly on the knees, elbows, or scalp, per the Mayo Clinic.

Makeup artist Romy Soleimani, who gave Cara her golden hue, told Vanity Fair of the color: “There’s a toughness to it because that’s very Cara.”

“It almost feels a little Ziggy Stardust-y,” she adds, calling the model the master of both masculine and feminine.
