The venerable luxury brand’s flora-inspired designs are anything but garden-variety

Inspired by the wonders of nature, Tiffany & Co.’s recent release of its Spring 2022 Blue Book Collection, Botanica, is a glittering bouquet of opulence that reflects the house’s history for innovation, as well as its penchant for creating bejeweled interpretations of organic forms.
The 90-piece collection — Tiffany’s first under the LVMH umbrella — is comprised of four botanical themes: dandelions, orchids, thistle and updated versions of Jean Schlumberger masterpieces. From a brilliant platinum and 18-karat gold-set Orchid diamond brooch, hand-set with 329 round rose-cut diamonds, to a 47-carat cushion-cut aquamarine glimmering on a platinum and gold Schlumberger Fleurage bracelet, each intricate bauble is a work of art.
One of the most stunningly utilitarian pieces in the garden, the Dandelion transformable necklace — set in platinum with a round brilliant diamond just over 12 carats, an emerald-cut aquamarine of over 31 carats and mixed-cut diamonds totaling upward of 85 carats — is a technical marvel that can be worn five different ways, thanks to two interchangeable pendant drops, a baguette diamond choker, and a long diamond chain necklace.
A range of gemstones appear throughout the collection — Fancy Intense Yellow diamond, Fancy Vivid Purplish Pink diamond, blue cuprian elbaite, tourmaline, unenhanced ruby, cushion-cut enhanced purple sapphire, and aquamarine — expertly showcasing the unrivaled creativity and craftsmanship Tiffany is known for.
Those who garnered an invitation to preview the collection in either New York or Miami at the end of April should count themselves lucky — it’s expected that nearly all of the debut pieces from Botanica will be snapped-up rather quickly, owed to a handful of Tiffany’s top clients from around the globe.
