Last night at Bar SixtyFive, Rockefeller Center’s rooftop haunt, crowds gathered to celebrate Michael Kors’ new collaboration with the Italian sports brand Ellesse. The new collection, a capsule of luxury separates ideal for the tennis club, arrives just in time for an all-out prep revival. We caught up with Jay Critch, the rapper and New York native who lent his musical and modeling skills to the Kors x Ellesse campaign (alongside Emily Ratajkowski), which was styled by our editor in chief Mel Ottenberg. Here, against the backdrop of a New York sunset, Critch tells us what he plans to do in his new MK x ellesse tracksuit, where to eat in Queens, and why he’s ready to take on Serena Williams.

INTERVIEW: What’s your favorite piece from the collection?
CRITCH: I love the whole tracksuit, I’m very into this jacket and pants.
INTERVIEW: Were you nervous showing up to set?
CRITCH: At first, but once I got into the swing of things, I was good.
INTERVIEW: Do you play tennis?
CRITCH: Nah, never. [Laughs] Only in the video games, but I’d love to play Serena in my new track suit. Shoutout Serena Williams. We got to line it up.
INTERVIEW: Are you enjoying the party?
CRITCH: It’s a vibe. First they gave me champagne, now they’re bringing this stuff out. They’re trying to get me…I’m gonna have to slow down.
INTERVIEW: Any after party plans tonight?
CRITCH: I’m gonna just chill, get some food. I’ll give you a restaurant recommendation: try Cipollini. It’s in Manhasset—almost Long Island, but not really. It’s Queens.
INTERVIEW: Where are you going to wear your new track suit?
CRITCH: To do laps around Prospect Park, for sure.
