I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want smooth, glowing skin that resembles a perfectly glazed donut—and the Peach and Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum is here to make it happen. As someone who has naturally dull, textured skin (read: bumps and enlarged pores), I’m always on the hunt for products to help my complexion appear more luminous and smooth.

However, I also have extremely sensitive skin, which makes finding the right product(s) all the more difficult. Fortunately, this serum from K-beauty brand Peach and Lily does the trick to deliver “glass skin,” but sans the usual redness and irritation that I’m usually prone to. (If you’re not yet familiar: Glass skin is a term first used in South Korea used to describe skin so luminous, that it could be modeled from glass.)

I first discovered the Glass Skin Refining Serum on—you guessed it—TikTok; I was intrigued by the near-perfect reviews from creators like @roxettearisa, @rudiberry, and @dr.zionko. Admittedly, I didn’t have exceptionally high hopes or sky-high expectations for this serum, as I’m pretty skeptical of skin-care products that make claims that sound just a tad too good to be true—and glass skin is one of them. But I’ll be the first to admit that I was wrong to underestimate the power of this serum.

Before diving in further, it’s worth shouting out the serum’s innovative formula, which features a lineup of powerful skin-care ingredients—think hyaluronic acid for on-the-spot plumping, niacinamide to brighten and smooth, peptides that boost collagen over time, and vitamin-rich peach extract. The result? A gentle yet effective formula that works to hydrate, illuminate, and calm even the most sensitive skin types.

After double-cleansing my face, I went in with two pumps of the serum to form a light layer over my face. And, instead of leaving a sticky, greasy, or tacky residue, it melted into my skin within literal seconds, leaving me with a subtle hint of dewiness. Despite the serum’s water-based formula, its texture resembled more of a lightweight gel. Finally, to complete my routine, I slathered on some of my favorite SPF moisturizer to lock in hydration, which only enhanced my skin’s luminosity.

Although I would have gone makeup-free, I wanted to test how the serum would layer beneath foundation, bronzer, blush, and highlighter—though you can probably skip the latter, unless you’re looking for an extra touch of radiance. After applying my makeup, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that there was no pilling of the products.

Also, since the serum is gentle enough for twice-daily use, I also incorporated it into my nighttime skin-care routine. I loved how visibly plump and soft my skin felt before I climbed into bed—and, even better, there was no residue left behind on my pillowcase. As an added bonus, the serum is fragrance-free—which, no surprise here, is fantastic for my sensitive skin. Plus, it’s safe for all skin types. With results like this, it’s not hard to see why it’s become a runaway fave.

(P.S. The product on the right is a Quick Shop product—you don’t have to leave Glamour to make a purchase.)
