Apple Martin, the 18-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, graduated from high school this week, and no, we can’t believe it either. (Time is a flat circle.)

The Goop founder shared the news to her Instagram Story on Thursday, June 2, posting a photo of herself and ex-husband Martin posing for a selfie with Apple after her graduation ceremony.

“Congratulations to all of the graduates especially @applemartin,” Paltrow wrote.

The proud mom smiled wide in the photo, wearing a sand-colored hat and layered gold jewelry, as the Coldplay singer held his daughter close.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin share two children: Apple and 16-year-old Moses. The couple split in 2014, coining the term “conscious uncoupling” in the process, but maintained a friendly relationship, especially when it comes to raising their children.

In an appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show in 2020, the Iron Man actor admitted that co-parenting isn’t always easy, but her and Chris’s respect for each other and love for their children keep them aligned.

“It’s like you’re ending a marriage but you’re still in a family,” Paltrow said. “That’s how it will be forever…We also have good days and bad days, but I think it’s driving towards the same purpose of unity and love and what’s best for [our kids].”
