Taylor Swift has fully embraced the power of a suit at multiple film events. For the Sundance premiere of the Miss Americana documentary in January 2020, the pop star wore a Carmen March houndstooth jumpsuit with wide, pleated legs, topping off the outfit with a matching trench. Once again her dark blonde hair was let down in waves and her red lips added a pop of color.

Then, in November 2021, Swift dressed in a double-breasted slim-fitting purple velvet pantsuit by Etro for the New York premiere of All Too Well.

During the Tribeca event, Taylor Swift shared her interest in directing a feature film in the future and gave additional insight into the message of All Too Well. According to Swift, the red typewriter the main character (Sadie Sink) uses to write her novel was a gift from her older boyfriend. “We see her typing on that typewriter,” Swift said, per Variety. “We assume he gave it to her: She complimented it, and he gave it to her. He’s taken a lot from her in the course of this [song], but he’s also given her something: this dream and hope of being a writer. This experience is what galvanized her life and career.”
