The actor-producer-singer, who recently celebrated her 53rd birthday, is obviously no stranger to the style. In an Instagram post from May taken in (we assume) her closet, you can see that Lopez has a whole collection of platform espadrilles and chunky heeled sandals:

Lopez has often been praised for her smooth face and toned body (with good reason!), but personally I’d love to know what ankle, knee and calf exercises allow her to walk around for even an hour in these duds because I would be falling. All. Over. The. Place.

Best of all, the multi-hyphenate has worn flats during this trip. Yes, she prowled the streets of Paris in ballet flats and a billowing dress, looking like an old school movie star. Why? I have a theory. Because the streets of European cities are paved with cobblestones, which look great in photos but are basically impossible to navigate in heels. Even if you’re Jennifer Lopez.
