In light of the house’s exponential growth, their latest France location lays the foundation for exemplary displays of quality craftsmanship.
New York-based eponymous luxe fashion house Thom Browne exclusively disclosed the new location for its first retail footprint in France at private members club EPI in Saint-Tropez. Renowned for questioning traditional proportions, Browne’s designs consistently convey a truly American sensibility rooted in quality craftsmanship and precise tailoring. Through a modernized approach to today’s uniform, the house has expanded its business from a small “appointment only” shop in the West Village with only five suits on rotation to now incorporating complete ready-to-wear collections for both men and women.
Rightfully, in light of the exponential growth, the label recently collaborated with the infamous architect Flavio Albanese of ASA Studioalbanese on the design of the Thom Browne Tennis Pro Shop. The shop highlights Thom Browne’s signature style hallmarks in a reinterpreted vision for the resort-minded EPI.
Located at 1128 Route de L’Epi, 83350 Ramatuelle along the beach in Saint-Tropez at private members club EPI, the 500-square foot space neighbors some of Saint-Tropez’s most prominent restaurants and luxury resorts.
Behind Thom Browne’s signature, Venetian blind-covered windows is a reinterpreted interior influenced by the resort. Through the delicate outlines of gray subway tiles, the Tennis Pro Shop mimics the Miami flagship in lighter tones to compliment the surrounding atmosphere of EPI’s minimalist wellness and sport-inspired retreat. From door-to-door, a red, white, and blue subway tile stripe connects the resort to a private sitting area for store guests.
Browne continues to outfit this space with mid-century furniture inspired by American and French designers—including Dunbar by Edward Wormley, Paul McCobb, Jacques Adnet, Pierre Jeanerette, and George Nakashima. His signature ready-to-wear, tailoring, and accessories are displayed alongside limited-edition EPI branded Thom Browne goods, which will continue to be developed in new iterations every season.
The eponymous label is currently offered in over 300 leading department store and specialty boutique doors across 40 countries and through 78 retail stores, flagships, and shop-in-shops in key cities such as New York, London, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Seoul.
