Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children are about to be the new kids.

The royal couple made the move from Kensington Palace in London to Windsor over the summer, and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will attend a school nearby starting in September.

Kensington Palace announced via a statement on Monday, August 22 that the Cambridge kids will attend Lambrook School in Berkshire. People reports that Kate and William toured several schools in the area before choosing Lambrook. This will be the first time that all the children go to the same school.

“Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas’s Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children which shares a similar ethos and values,” the royal couple announced via a Kensington Palace press release, per People.

Lambrook School is closer to the family’s new home of Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle. For the past several years, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, attended Battersea School in London.

“We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community,” Jonathan Perry, headmaster of Lambrook School, said in a statement shared by Kensington Palace.

Earlier this year, reports circulated that Kate Middleton and Prince William would be making a big move. In June, The Sunday Times reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made the decision to move for several reasons, including more space and more privacy, and closeness to Queen Elizabeth II, who spends most of her time at Windsor Castle these days. The move also includes another big change for the family: their staff, including the family’s nanny of eight years, will live nearby instead of on-site.
