Laverne Cox is so relatable, because, I, too, am often mistaken for Beyoncé in public. Fine, one of us is lying, but I’m told daydreaming is healthy and normal.

The 50-year-old actor attended the U.S. Open on Monday, August 29—an event notorious for drawing a who’s who of high-profile celebrities. Yesterday’s matches, for example, were attended by a former U.S. president (Bill Clinton), an A-list supermodel (Bella Hadid), and an Olympic gold-medalist (Lindsey Vonn), to name a few.

So it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that Beyoncé—who, mind you, has spent the summer promoting her new album, Renaissance—would be among the celebrities in the stands. But, spoiler, the woman in the black face mask, sheer gloves, and hoop earrings isn’t her. It’s Laverne Cox.

“Not me getting mistaken for @Beyonce at the #USOpen tonight and then trending on Twitter as the internet cackles over the mistaken identity,” the actor shared on Instagram on Monday evening. She also gave a shout out to Serena Williams, who is playing her last U.S. Open before retiring.

For reference, here is Beyoncé in a black face mask while attending a Brooklyn Nets game with Jay Z earlier this year:
