Emily Blunt promoted her new film ‘The English’ during the London Film Festival on Saturday (October 15), and during MIPCOM 2022 in Cannes on Sunday (October 16) in France.
I think it seems only logical that ‘The English’ has its world premiere during the London Film Festival.
There’s much to admire in the striking simplicity of this halter dress from Saint Laurent, especially the ruching which helps define the silhouette.
Have you noticed that Saint Laurent’s dresses from the Fall 2022 collection are rarely sent down the red carpet without an armful of Scratch Bat bangles, square Cabochon bracelet and the long Tornado Crater cuff?
For Cannes, Emily wore a look from one of her favourite brands; Miu Miu.
Miu Miu has a no rules approach to design, thus proven by the embellished jacket, paired with a sheer skirt.
I know some are frowning, perhaps disappointed by Emily going the sheer route, but I feel that sheer tulle skirt adds a romantic and whimsical feel, and in turn gives her look a more modern feel.
Trying to picture this with a crepe skirt, I wonder if the result would’ve been a bit too matronly for her.
Messika Jewellery completed her second look.
Which look is your favourite here?
Anything Palmer-girl-esque will always get my vote, so Saint Laurent was my favourite on this occasion.
