Janelle Monae attended the ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ Madrid premiere on Wednesday (October 19).
Reading your comments from the London premiere, it seems that some of you feel that Janelle Monae is doing “too much” during this promo tour considering she is part of an ensemble cast.
I do understand where these comments are coming from, but Janelle is doing what Lady Gaga did during her ‘House of Gucci’ promo tour, by being her authentic, OTT, expressive self.
I couldn’t even imagine what a larger-than-life character like Janelle would wear in a toned-down version of herself. I actually shudder to think.
I mean where else are we going to see such an explosive creation like this Robert Wun dress if it wasn’t for Janelle?
At the Grammys? An event that comes around once a year. Or a 10 second clip in a music video?
The drama enthusiast in me is living for this pleated moment, and I hope to see more of it.
