Queen Beyoncé Knowles was running a little bit late to collect her crown at the 2023 Grammys. But that didn’t stop her from becoming the winningest woman in Grammy history before even setting foot inside the ceremony. And frankly, she’s just getting started. Tonight, the songstress is nominated in a whopping nine categories. And in three of those categories—including best R&B song for “Cuff It”—she’s already won. With 31 wins, Beyoncé is currently tied for the most Grammy awards with classical music figure Georg Solti, but is expected to surpass him by the end of the evening.

The awards ceremony hasn’t always given Bey her due—never forget Adele’s 2017 acceptance speech—but the 65th Annual Grammy Awards gave her nine opportunities to add to the 28 wins she’d already collected before 2023. Renaissance, Beyoncé’s first full album since 2016’s Lemonade, picked up nominations for best dance/electronic album and, naturally, album of the year. The track “Break My Soul” also got big category nods, with nominations for both record of the year and song of the year.
