I’m so happy to see Roland Mouret’s designs on the red carpet again. Not just because he once dressed me for the Oscars, more so because his designs are truly elegant, timeless, and made for the modern woman.
However, I just struggled to get on board with this Resort 2023 dress on Jessica Chastain, and it comes down to two simple things.
The colour. Had this been in a lush green shade, blue or even black, I would’ve been fully on board, but orange? I don’t think it’s Jessica’s colour.
Then we have the Gucci jewelry. They – the earrings especially – feel unnecessarily OTT to the point of nauseam.
I don’t know how to close this other than to say, I just don’t know anymore.
