Catherine, Princess of Wales attended the State Banquet welcoming President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa which was held at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday (November 22) in London.

This was not only King Charles III first state banquet as King, it was also the first state visit of a South African leader since 2010, and this was also Catherine’s first time wearing a tiara as the Princess of Wales.

Looking at this Jenny Packham Elspeth gown you would think it was a custom creation for the Princess considering how regal the gown is.

But then, anything styled with the Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot tiara is going to have a regal air.

A white satin Alexander McQueen clutch, Princess Diana’s South Sea Pearl earrings, and a Bentley & Skinner bracelet from Queen Elizabeth accessorized the look alone with the Royal Family order and the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order star and sash.

This is actually a dress from the British designer’s Bridal collection, so if you’re having a case of déjà vu, that’s because it is similar to the bespoke wedding gown Jenny Packham created for Hilary Duff.
