On November 19, Naomi became the first grandchild of a sitting president to tie the knot at the White House. The 28-year-old Columbia Law grad married 25-year-old Peter Neal on the South Lawn in a private, intimate ceremony. Naomi is the eldest of the president’s seven grandchildren and is the daughter of Hunter Biden and his ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle.
“It has been a joy to watch Naomi grow, discover who she is, and carve out such an incredible life for herself,” the President and First Lady Jill Bidensaid in a statement. “Now, we are filled with pride to see her choose Peter as her husband and we’re honored to welcome him to our family. We wish them days full of laughter and a love that grows deeper with every passing year.”
According to the White House press release, the ceremony was followed by a luncheon for family and the wedding party in the State Dining Room of the White House, with a reception set to be held later in the evening. A glimpse of the ceremony—including Naomi’s Ralph Lauren dress and dramatic veil, can be seen in a couple of overhead photos taken during the nuptials. An official photo by Adam Schultz was also shared with the press.
