Kacey Musgraves knows how to make a fashion statement, whether it’s dressing like a Barbie doll at the Met Gala or wearing crystal trainers that cost nearly $4,000. For her latest look, where she performed a one-night only concert in Los Angeles hosted by Saks and American Express Platinum, she chose the aesthetic of the moment inspired by ’90s goth glam.

“Fashion is such an important form of self-expression for me and for so many people,” Musgraves tells Glamour, “[so] I worked with my stylist Erica Cloud to pick my wardrobe for the show and went with a simple, black, 90’s-leaning look from Saks.” The result: a Norma Kamali slip dress and a ouble-breasted coat by The Row, along with a Jimmy Choo Bon Bon satin bag with fringe and black suede pumps, all from Saks. Trés chic!

The look is definitely in right now, thanks to the success of Netflix’s Wednesday, which is reviving the gothic goddess look both on and off the carpet. And while Musgraves’ latest look has a slightly more streamlined aesthetic than the plunging gown with dark lip that Catherine Zeta-Jones recently wore to Disney’s National Treasure: Edge of History premiere, it’s perfectly on trend for this goth goddess moment we’re in.

Musgraves’ hair was as glossy and shiny as ever, most likely thanks to the two favorite products Musgraves has told us in the past that she swears by: Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil and Goldwell Dual Senses Just Smooth Treatment

At the private, sold-out concert, held at The Lot at Formosa, the six-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter performed a 60-minute set of her chart-topping hits including “Star-Crossed,” “Justified,” “Rainbow,” and “Slow Burn.” It was curated exclusively for American Express Platinum Card Members in celebration of the Shop Saks with Platinum benefit.
