The Fabulous World of Dior at Harrods
This holiday season, you cannot miss the most elaborate gingerbread house in the form of The Fabulous World of Dior at Harrods where The French Maison joined forces with the UK’s most luxurious retailer to bring holiday dreams to reality through January 3, 2023.
The Fabulous World of Dior begins outside of the iconic London department store where the already magnificent Edwardian façade features a spectacular display of Christmas lights. The design is a reinterpretation of sketches created by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Roman artist Pietro Ruffo for the Dior Cruise 2023 collection. Included in the artful light display are numerous poetic Dior references, the main being several rose des vents, compass roses, a symbol held near and dear to Christian Dior himself.
Even standing among so many other stores along Brompton Road, nothing comes close to this unique exhibit. With 44 window displays, the amount of work that went into this showcase is amazing! Each features unique gingerbread-inspired scenes paired with statements of Dior fashion.
The Dior HQ’s in Gingerbread
Beyond the façade is one of the most extensive gingerbread houses imaginable. A breathtaking bakery feat filled with examples of exquisite craftsmanship synonyms of its luxury! The design imitates a miniature world of the iconic Dior headquarters at 30 rue Montaigne. Details of beautiful lines drawn in icing offer up endless holiday delight.
Dior Pop-ups Inside
Harrods is famous for having spectacular holiday decorations, but this year might be hard to beat. Joined with the details aforementioned above, this partnership also includes exclusive pop-up shops at the entrance of the store. Here you can find the most exclusive and iconic Dior pieces to accompany your holiday season gift extravaganza. From fragrances to fashion and home décor, there is something for everyone.
Moreover, if you’re visiting in person be sure to stop for a rest at Harrods’ gourmet Dior Café. The gorgeous gingerbread-inspired interior was inaugurated as part of The Fabulous World of Dior at Harrods.
