Ayo Edebiri threw us a curveball from the red carpet at the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards.
Janelle Monáe has given us plenty of Thom Browne looks, but there was an element of giving us different versions of the same look.
But Ayo completely flipped the scripts and gave us a classic Thom Browne look with a twist.
We have all the tailored elements, with a corset and train to ensure there was not giving us a huge dose of déjà vu.
This is the fresh perspective I was talking about with her last look.
However, if you’re questioning the fit and the execution, I would agree as it looks a little too big for her and the corset doesn’t quite work, but kudos to Ayo for continuing to give us something different.
