Back in 2003, when a girl kissing a girl on TV was either shocking or titillating, Madonna locked lips with both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera during a VMAs performance, and it became, in common parlance, “iconic.” Mostly the Britney part.

Twenty years later, Jennifer Lopez has confessed that it was she, not XTina, who was supposed to complete the trio.
“I was filming a movie in Canada, and we had met—me, [Madonna] and Britney—to do it at [Madonna’s] home,” she told E! News. “And then, I just couldn’t get off the film, and so, we couldn’t do it.”
