Ben Affleck, sometimes referred to (affectionately!) by his meme name Sad Affleck, is not actually all that sad. This according to both Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Lopez Affleck, who I think would know.
Hollywood’s favorite on-again couple poked fun at the idea that Ben exists in a constant state of misery with a new meme posted to Jennifer’s Instagram account on Thursday, February 9. J.Lo posted the trailer for Ben’s new movie, Air, however, the title card—as seen on her IG grid—is screengrab of Ben’s face looking tired as ever with the text “My Husband’s Happy Face” written below it.

Ben’s seemingly sad demeanor began trending for the umpteenth time on Sunday evening during the 65th annual Grammy Awards, when the camera caught his sleepy expression over and over and over again as it panned across the crowd of A-list guests.
Later in the evening, as host Trevor Noah poked fun at the couple while seated next to their table, Jen appeared to scold Ben for becoming a meme yet again. Per a seat filler who was sat next to the couple while Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his wife Lauren Hashian stepped away momentarily, Ben replied, “Oh god, this again,” when he realized he had been caught in 4k looking like he’d rather be anywhere else than the hottest party in L.A.
