It’s based on a novel.
When it was announced in 2019, Love Again was tentatively titled Text For You after Sofie Cramer’s 2009 novel of the same name, on which it’s based. The story has already been adapted into a German-language romantic drama which was released in 2016.
What’s it about?
Knee-deep in grief over the death of her fiancé, Mira Ray (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) begins sending romantic texts to his old cellphone number, which she assumes has been disconnected. When journalist Rob Burns (Sam Heughan) gets a new work phone, he finds himself on the receiving end of Mira’s text messages. Instead of telling her that the number now belongs to him, he lets her continue texting him and slowly grows feelings for a woman he has never met.
With the help of Celine Dion, the subject of his latest celebrity profile, Rob finds a way to meet Mira in person and tries to win her heart, even though his secret could tear them apart.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan star, and Celine Dion makes her acting debut as herself. Chopra Jonas’s IRL hubby, Nick Jonas, also has a special cameo in the film as one of Mira’s “bad dates.” Cue: A cringe-inducing makeout.
