We’re reaching uncharted territory with the latest movements in hair. Now, more than ever, there are less standards and more spontaneity when it comes to a finished look. Instead of following a direct path or a single style, individuals are looking to free themselves from the constructs of society by paving their own way. We’re reaching a time of true expression where anything goes. The latest collection Jare, created by Karmen Ramírez explores just that. Read on to learn the inspiration from Karmen herself.

Jare, which means “freedom” in Basque, shows hair as a tool of expression that allows us to represent what we feel, breaking with the rules, limitations and impositions of society. Unstructured styles with movement invite us to act without coercion or oppression, to transform our reality to be freer and more authentic.
