Florence Pugh Just Debuted a Sleek ScarfaceInspired Bob

The ultimate hair chameleon has done it again, and just in time for fashion’s biggest night of the year. On Thursday, Florence Pugh debuted a shoulder-skimming, champagne-blonde bob, complete with heavy bangs, for the opening of the new Tiffany & Co flagship store in New York.

The Don’t Worry Darling star is renowned for her love of experimenting with different hairstyles – and her uncanny ability to pull off everything from a micro fringe at this year’s BAFTAs to a wet-look pixie cut and gravity-defying twisted bun with aplomb.

But Florence Pugh’s new look, which is possibly a wig, is enough to make you do a serious double take and question whether you’re actually looking at a classic Hollywood still. In an Instagram post, her hairstylist Peter Lux described the cut as a “blunt convex shape (short at the front and long at the back) with long shear bangs”.

The inspiration for the look became immediately apparent when Peter added the soundtrack to the 1983 movie Scarface. In the film, Michelle Pfeiffer stars as Elvira Hancock, the ultimate bad-girl and seductive blonde whose signature feature was a full fringe and sleek bob with rolled-under ends. On Florence, the look was so striking it even managed to outshine her mint green confection sheer ensemble.
