It comes after the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated the fifth birthday of their youngest son, Prince Louis. Kensington Palace released two delightful new photographs to mark Louis’s birthday on Sunday, April 23, including one of the princess pushing her son in a wheelbarrow. The photographs were taken in Windsor by Millie Pilkington, who took the Prince and Princess of Wales’ private wedding pictures.

In the first photograph, Prince Louis is seen smiling in a wheelbarrow being pushed by his mother, the Princess of Wales. The birthday boy is dressed in a pair of blue shorts, a shirt and a Fair Isle knit jumper, while Kate Middleton wears a Breton striped top. The second photo, also captured outside in a garden, is a close-up photo of young Louis smiling and looking off camera.

The Baby Bank visit is expected to be one of the final royal engagements for the Princess of Wales ahead of the Coronation of King Charles III and the Queen Consort on Saturday, May 6. The Prince and Princess of Wales will be joined by their three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, five, at the historic Westminster Abbey service.

Prince George has been given an important role as one of his grandfather’s four Pages of Honor. Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis do not have official roles but will join their older brother and parents in a carriage procession back to Buckingham Palace following the Coronation. They are also expected to appear on the balcony alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla in a celebratory moment.
