Lea Michele Wore Vintage Thierry Mugler To The TIME100 Gala

Lea Michele joined a host of celebrities on the red carpet for the TIME100 Gala held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Wednesday (April 26).

Following the Variety’s Power of Women event, Lea appears to be very much basking in her big gown era.

This time she dipped into the archives to where she retrieved this beautiful vintage Thierry Mugler Fall 1999 gown.

Thierry Mugler was known for his avant-garde and architectural approach to Haute Couture.

From the sculpted halter-style bodice you can see the designer’s renewed craftsmanship on full display.

But on this occasion he contrasted the bodice with a princess-style voluminous skirt which flowed from intricate pleats.

If there was any look that Lea was going to wear from the designer, this was it, even though I think the gown would’ve been better with the Thierry Mugler star.

Michele kept her accessories minimal yet impactful with earrings by EFFY Jewelry and a ring by Graziela.

If you’re having a case of déjà vu, you may remember that Catherine Zeta Jones wore the original pink version of this gown to Cannes Film Festival back in 1999.
