Kylie Jenner fans have put on their Swiftie hats and are starting to look for hidden clues and double meanings in everything the makeup mogul does. Back to your lane, Swifties, you shall find no cryptic messages here!
The latest, let’s say, theory, is that Kylie Jenner, who is casually seeing Timothée Chalamet, is now taking style cues from the actor, too. On Monday, Jenner attended the annual Met Gala in a bright red gown with a contrasting blue lining. It wasn’t an obvious reference to the evening’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” in the way that her sister Kim Kardashian’s pearls were, however some more optimistic fans have speculated that the colors as well as the silhouette were nods to Lagerfeld’s mentee, André Leon Talley, whose signature capes were often made by the designer for Chanel.

Anyway, her dress was designed by Haider Ackermann for Jean Paul Gaultier, who also made the structural gown she wore to an after party (or, actually, maybe she just went home because the party was too crowded. Fair!).
What does any of this have to do with Timmy? Great question. The young actor is also a big fan of Ackermann’s designs, and has worn his pieces on many a red carpet. The two men have been collaborating on looks since 2017, and Chalamet attended his couture show in February. As did Kylie. And they were seen talking. And then the dating rumors started.
On Ackermann’s Instagram, some fans speculated that Jenner was only able to nab a collab with the designer because of her connection to him through Chalamet. On a picture of Jenner modeling her gown, one commenter wrote, “timothee’s doing.” Added another, “We have now confirmation [of the relationship].” Said a third, “Omg her boy Tim hooked her up w his favorite designer.” On another post, a savvy gossip consumer wrote, “So the [Timothée] rumors are true if Kylie is being dressed by H.A”
