Elaine Zhong Chuxi put on a dazzling display on the red carpet for the ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening.
The Chinese actress wore an opulent Laurence Xu Fall 2013 Couture highly embellished dress that beautifully marries Western cuts and traditional Chinese symbolisms.
The actress could’ve easily worn a Zuhair, Hobeika or Chakra gown, and looked amazing, but this is something new – despite the piece being 10 years old – that many of us want to see on this red carpet.
This was a beautiful way to celebrate her culture that doesn’t feel too literal, or costumey.
I might just add this to my BDOTY list and see if it makes the final cut. It’s that breath-taking to me.
Tiffany & Co. jewels and a dainty gold box clutch were the perfect way to style this look.
