King Charles III Coronation Global Guests

Brigitte Macron

Here is a roundup of the other guests who attended the coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on Saturday (May 6) in London.

If there was one person you expected to totally nail her look it was Brigitte Macron.

The French First Lady gave us Parisian elegance at its finest wearing Louis Vuitton.

Brigitte’s look was perfectly coordinated in pastel pink with her military-style coat being the hero piece of this look.

Lady Gabriella Kingston

Speaking of delivering their finest, Lady Gabriella Kingston was a vision in hot pink, wearing a coat dress from Catherine Walker.

Some might feel that this veers into ‘80s territory with shoulder pads, but I’m here for the colour, the silhouette and the elegance.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry was one of the guest performers during the royal ceremony, and she was not to be missed wearing a Vivienne Westwood lilac skirt suit.

Ensuring she blended in the high society, the singer added a matching hat and opera gloves, with Vivienne Westwood’s iconic pearl choker providing the finishing touch.

A lot of people wondered why she was even there, but it turns out that she was personally invited by the royals, as Katy is an ambassador for the British Asian Trust’s Children’s Protection Fund for India.

Jill Biden

In the absence of President Biden, Jill Biden and their granddaughter Finnegan Biden represented the US.

Finnegan Biden joined Queen Rania of Jordan in wearing a delicate yellow cape dress by Markarian, while the First wore a periwinkle-blue Ralph Lauren suit.

Am I alone in feeling that the suit, and the gloves appeared too big?

Also, the ribbon detail didn’t live up to the other headwear seen at this event.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark

Monochromatic looks were trending at this event with Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wearing a regal deep purple bespoke ensemble by Danish fashion designer Soeren Le Schmidt.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

And Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden followed suit in her understated royal blue look.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands turned to her favourite designer Jan Taminiau and Irish Milliner Philip Treacy.

The inserts between the floral cut-out detailed yoke helped tie in the beige Gianvito Rossi pumps and VBH clutch.

Queen Mathilde of Belgium

Pink was a popular colour at this event with Queen Mathilde of Belgium wearing a cape dress from Armani Privé styled with matching Armani clutch, Philip Treacy hat, and satin pumps.

Princess Charlene of Monaco

I’m usually a big fan of Princess Charlene of Monaco style, but this monochromatic champagne-toned look washed her out.

Philip Treacy hat completed her look.

Marie-Chantel

Marie-Chantal wore a custom Mary Katrantzou pale cornflower blue dress featuring an asymmetric draped bow and graceful calf length skirt which she styled with an Olympia Le-Tan In Search Of Lost Time Proust book clutch.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway

When you think of a Peter Dundas look, barely-there dresses favoured by Ciara and Heidi Klum created by the Norwegian designer spring to mind.

But when called upon by Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, he ensured she looked regal wearing a custom blush pink belted dress featuring an embroidered skirt with traditional Norwegian flower motif and Tudor roses.

The designer completed the monochromatic look with gloves and veiled hat, blush court shoes, and a clutch bag.

Princess Eugenie of York

Heavily pregnant Princess Eugenie of York wore a custom Fendi by Kim Jones navy dress, overlaid with a Fendi navy cashmere coat.

Fendi accessories including Swarovski embroidered gloves, a Fendi ISeeU Peekaboo bag and Fendi First heels completed her look.

King Charles III Coronation Global Guests

Pippa Middleton

Some might say that Pippa Middleton was inspired by her sister in wearing this yellow hued Claire Mischevani coat dress, but that would be an easy comparison.

I thought this shade was very flattering on Pippa, Catherine tends to either opt for a softer shade or a more vibrant shade of yellow.

King Charles III Coronation Global Guests

Carole Middleton

The same could be said for Carole Middleton, who turned to her daughter’s favourite designer Catherine Walker – who gave Carole royal blue treatment.

I don’t know about you, but I found the shoulders too pronounced here, as they are pretty much chin height.

Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani

Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani was a picture of sartorial elegance wearing an embroidered look from the Dior Fall 2022 Haute Couture collection.

Queen Suthida of Thailand

Queen Suthida of Thailand was also one of my favourites.  Mostly because her chic military look complemented King Vajiralongkorn.

Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of Lesotho

Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of Lesotho was elegance personified wearing a stunning blue-and-green print gown which I’m hoping bears some cultural reference that I was unable to find.

King Charles III Coronation Global Guests

Princess Beatrice of York

Princess Beatrice opted out of the spring hues that were worn by many.

I guess she saw that rain was forecast for the day.

The princess’ fall-hued Beulah London magenta dress was styled with a statement headpiece, clutch and the Gianvito Rossi pumps, which are beloved by all royals it seems.

Princess Kiko of Japan

I love how Princess Kiko of Japan brought a taste of the East to London wearing a traditional patterned silk kimono, complete with a floral obi sash.

White tabi socks—another traditional touch—and a pair of wedge slippers completed her look.

King Charles III Coronation Global Guests

Emma Thompson was not to be missed in her Emilia Wickstead floral coat styled with Roger Vivier accessories and her Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order badge.

Zara Tindall

Zara Tindall served up one of her best fashion moments wearing a bespoke Laura Green coat dress styled with a Strathberry clutch and Emmy London pumps.
