Nick Cannon has two children with exwife Mariah Carey.

Nick Cannon, father of 12, would like the world to know that his bank account has “a lot” of money in it for all his children. The Masked Singer host is back in the discourse not because he had another baby (shocking twist, I know), but because Bre Tiesi, mother of his 10-month-old child, Legendary Love Cannon, is a cast member in the newest season of Selling Sunset. During the season Tiesi finds out along with the rest of the world that Cannon has once again had a baby (with model LaNisha Cole, born in September 2022). His child support responsibilities were then brought up, as he became a father to five children in 2022 alone.

Earlier this month Cannon appeared on The Jason Lee Podcast, on which he discussed complex coparenting and child support for so many kids.

“Money comes and goes,” he told host Lee, per People. “I always tell people, ‘Money don’t make you happy. Happy makes you money.’ So I’m always going to be good, and every dollar that I make is for my family.” He added that he is “not in the child support system that is run by the government.”

“My money is they money, they money is my money,” Cannon said. “They can have whatever they want, whatever they ask for. My account is their account, and there’s a lot in there, so we ain’t gon’ run out.”

In 2022, amid criticism, Cannon revealed that he pays more than $3 million in child support per year. “I definitely spend a lot more than [$3 million] on my children annually,” he said. “I don’t plan to ever have to participate in the governmental system of child.”
