Following the photocall, Phoebe Waller-Bridge attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere for ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ this evening.
Copy and paste everything I said on the Sydney Sweeney post about the Schiaparelli Spring 2023 Haute Couture collection, because it kind of applies here too.
I thought those kinks we saw on this black gown when it glided down the runway, were a result of it being too big on the model, and that by the time we saw it on the red carpet it would be tailored to fit, but I’m guessing that a looser style was the desired fit.
Personally, it throws the look off for me, as I wish this had been sculpted to fit Phoebe’s body.
We all know that Ryan Hastings loves an all black moment, but this is Cannes, and this gown was lacking in the jewelry department.
A one-of-a-kind jeweled piece could’ve lifted this look.
As presented, I wanted more for Phoebe, especially considering how amazing she looked at the photocall.
